Contact Support

The fastest way to get help is by email. Include the app version, the iPhone model, and a short description of what you were doing when the issue happened.

Before You Email

  • Confirm whether the issue is with words, characters with spaces, or characters without spaces.
  • For OCR, test with a sharper image or better lighting.
  • For TXT or PDF import, confirm the file is readable and not image-only.
  • For premium access, try Restore Purchases from the in-app Settings screen.

Why does the count differ from another app or website?

Different platforms define words, spaces, line breaks, emoji, and punctuation differently. Word Counter shows separate metrics so you can compare the rule that matters for your destination.

Why did OCR not find text in my image?

OCR works best with high-contrast printed text and clear screenshots. Blurry handwriting, low light, and image-only PDFs can reduce recognition quality.

Which file types are supported?

Word Counter currently supports TXT and PDF imports. PDFs with selectable text work best. Image-only documents may need OCR instead.

How do I restore Premium?

Open the app, go to Settings, and use Restore Purchases. If your App Store account still has access, the premium state should refresh on the device.

Where is my data stored?

Saved entries, presets, and preferences are stored locally on your device. The website privacy page has the current data-handling summary.

What should I include in a bug report?

Send the app version, your iPhone model, your iOS version, the exact action you took, and what you expected to happen versus what happened.
